10

Promote or facilitate the implementation of new companies related to this technology in our community.

Its R&D department has three strong research lines: advanced composites, manufacturing processes and product development.

AITIIP Technology Centre is a non-profit private entity whose main goal is to increase the competitiveness of the companies of the whole manufacturing industry, with a special intensity in plastic value chain, in relation to plastic applications its manufacturing processes as well as its moulds and tooling. Also, the entity has a goal to spread knowledge and to transfer the know-how to face new technological challenges.

The scientific and technical team is formed by more of 45 professionals, with long experience in industrial processes, including the latest technologies in the manufacturing actions, developing automated applications (communication digital platforms, robots, advanced machines, mould, tools, etc.) for advanced manufacturing tasks based on CAD/CAM/CAE techniques. The current facilities of the technological centre has more 20.000 m2. This technological capacitation is directed to different sectors such as biomedicine, aeronautics, automotive, packaging, transport, energy, ICTs, etc.

Its R&D department has three strong research lines: advanced composites, manufacturing processes and product development. The experience of AITIIP in tooling design and the manufacturing of versatile moulds for injection processes and other transformation processes will be extremely useful to achieve new challenges.

At Beonchip we use cutting edge materials and microfabrication techniques to create the next generation of in vitro testing platforms...

Beonchip S. L. was founded in 2016 at the University of Zaragoza by Rosa Monge (PhD in mechanical Engineering), Ignacio Ochoa (specialist and PhD in biology) and Luis Fernández (PhD in microtechnology). Therefore, we have multidisciplinarity in our roots, and our team is proof of that. The collaboration of engineers and biologists has been key to design the most user friendly and accessible organ on chip devices that are true to the physiological environment of the body.

At Beonchip we use cutting edge materials and microfabrication techniques to create the next generation of in vitro testing platforms, allowing the performance of experiments in vitro that were impossible or only possible in vivo before. Therefore, reducing the cost and time span needed for the development of new drugs, cosmetics and chemicals. We firmly believe that more and better in vitro research is needed in order to reduce the ethical and economic burden of an oversized animal research market.
